Trainee Opportunities

Podium Presentations - Submit your abstract before August 1 to be considered for a Podium Presentation.  Four abstracts will be selected by the review committee.

90 Second Poster Pitch – Advertise your poster by giving a 90 second, one slide overview.  The event is open to all trainees presenting a poster.  You must register for this event and be willing to submit your slide a few days prior to the presentation.

Judged Poster Session - Submit your abstract to participate in the judged poster session.  The posters will be judged in 4 categories – Fellows, Graduate Students, Staff and Undergraduates.  Cash prizes will be given for the top presentations.  Click here  for more information on the poster session including recommended poster dimensions.

Networking Opportunities – Cardiovascular Research Day is well known for being a great space for trainees to polish their networking skills.  This year, we will again offer networking “encouragement” to trainees in the form of a networking game.  If you turn in a completed game, you will be eligible for one of 4 - $500 travel awards to be drawn at the Awards Dinner.  You must be present at the Awards Dinner to win.

The Saha Cardiovascular Research Center is honored to host this year’s Fredrickson Lipid Research Conference (FLRC) in conjunction with Cardiovascular Research Day. Events on September 9 and 11 will be held at the Marriott Lexington City Center.  Attendees for FLRC will join attendees for Cardiovascular Research Day at the Gatton Student Center on September 10.  Registration for FLRC includes attendance at Cardiovascular Research Day.
